UPDATE: This story has been updated with new locations for Sunday February 21st.
Thousands of Austin residents are now running out of water, whether it be due to city problems, burst pipes, or water heater malfunctions, and those who have access must provide an indication of boiling water.
With water limits at HEB, Target, and other major retailers, dozens of local organizations are campaigning to ensure that Austin residents have access to drinking water. Temperatures are rising, which means icy roads are less of a problem and traveling to these locations will be easier in the days to come.
According to city council member Greg Casar, emergency watercraft are on their way to the area, but more planning details have yet to be released. Until then we have put together a few places where we can get drinking water 21st of February, unless otherwise stated.
You will need to bring your own container for almost every location and the amount of water available is limited. If it’s financially feasible, consider ordering a couple of six pack abs or something else to keep these places going.
