The companies that are driving Austin crazy could use a little help from customers after a difficult year. The Austin Visitor Center has done an extra job helping small businesses in Austin this holiday season.

Local Austin shops and restaurants had to close for weeks this spring as the coronavirus spread to Texas. More than nine months later, it’s still difficult to make up for the losses with fewer customers from near and far.

“We know some are closed. We’re doing everything we can, through our platforms, to make sure people know which ones are still open, what options are available, and to extend this holiday shopping season for as long as possible.” ” Said Chase.
