As with most holidays since the pandemic began, Austin 4th of July is very different this year. This is especially true given the rapidly growing number of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in Travis County, as well as the Austin Symphony’s cancellation of the annual fireworks and concert.
With this in mind, many local Independence Day restaurants and food companies offer take-away specialties that are perfect for backyard picnics and home parties with household groups. This means everything from family grilled dishes from Fowler’s Smokin Soul Food to lobster from Launderette to small and large cakes from Tiny Pies.
Unless otherwise stated, anything below can be picked up on Saturday 4th July.
33 Tiger: The Indian-Texan grocery delivery service is offering a special July 4th delivery with a wine-based cocktail made from Dandy Pink, rose / cardamom syrup, and topo chico, plus a t-shirt and naan croissant for $ 35. 20 percent of shirt sales go to 400 + 1 non-profit organizations. Orders can be placed online for delivery between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Andiamo: The Italian restaurant offers a picnic box on July 4th with paninis, vegetables and a watermelon salad. It’s $ 25 for a serving and $ 50 for two servings. Lorraine Bakery: The San Antonio-based bakery is selling a variety of cakes, from apples to chocolate cream to buttermilk, for $ 26 each for July 4th. Online pre-orders must be received by Tuesday June 30 for collections on Friday July 3rd or Saturday July 4th. (11600 Rock Rose Avenue, Domain)
Black Star Co-Op: The restaurant is offering a burger kit for pick up this vacation. The $ 35 set contains four 44 farms of beef patties, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, American cheese, Martin’s potato buns, and condiments. Orders must be picked up online by Thursday, July 2nd, so that they can be picked up on Saturday, July 4th, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (7020 Easy Wind Drive, Crestview).
Bufalina and Bufalina Due: Both locations of the pizza restaurant offer picnic packs for July 4th. There are two options, one for 2-3 people for 45 USD and one for 3-6 people for 80 USD. Both come with pizza, homemade mozzarella, salad, and ice cream. Dai Due: The butcher / restaurant offers a variety of ready-to-cook meats for pickup, including Wagyu hamburger patties, venison hot dogs, and hot links. There’s also the $ 78 mixed grill-self-grill kit, which includes a dry-ripened Wagyu ribeye, marinated / salted chicken, hot limbs, vegetables, and more. Then there are hot dog and burger rolls as well as buttermilk and peach cake. Pick-up requests must be received by Wednesday, July 1st, 12.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. by calling (512) 524-0688. Easy Tiger: The bakery has several packages for July 4th. Rosedale Kitchen and Bar: The New American Restaurant sells several meaty July 4th take-and-bake kits for roadside pickups between $ 5 and $ 24. Word of mouth: The catering company put together a full take-away meal on July 4th, consisting of fried chicken fillet with buttermilk, cold-boiled shrimp, watermelon feta salad, and themed cupcakes with sour cream.
