Austin, Texas – – Austin Police are still on the lookout for the suspect involved in a murder on the 100 block of Oertli Lane in north Austin. A $ 1,000 reward will be offered for information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
The victim has only been identified as a Spanish man until police can notify his next of kin.
Police said Austin 911 received a report of a man lying outside on the street on 100 block of Oertli Lane and a woman yelling for help around 3:33 a.m. on Thursday, March 18. When first responders arrived at the scene, they arrived to find the victim, a Hispanic male, with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas, where police said he was declared dead at 4:46 a.m.
The Travis County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the official cause and type of death.

In the course of their investigation, murder detectives learned that the suspect, victim and woman were drinking in a dormitory when an argument broke out. According to the police, the two men went outside where shots were fired.
The victim fell to the ground and the suspect fled the scene in a Ford F150 crew cabin. According to the police, the body of the truck is dark in the upper half and light in the lower half.
Detectives continue to follow the clues to identify the suspect.
