Police need help identifying downtown Austin aggravated assault suspect

The Austin Police are seeking help from the public in identifying the suspect who is involved in a major attack in downtown Austin. The incident occurred on February 6th at 3:02 am in Teller’s Bar on 607 Trinity Street.

Police say the suspect was outside Teller’s bar when he approached the victim and cut the victim.

The suspect then ran and exited the scene in a black Chevrolet Suburban or Tahoe from the late 90s to early 2000s with faded paint on the hood and roof.

The suspect is described as follows:

  • White or Spanish man
  • Average build
  • About 18 to 25 years old
  • Last seen with a blue hoodie with white stripes

The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated and released there. Police say the motive for the attack is unknown.
