Extra-large Austin pizza joint from popular biscuit shop on the rise

If you ever struggle to decide between New York, Neapolitan, or square pizza then we have the restaurant for you. The Love Supreme Pizza Bar, a new concept specializing in pizza, hits Manor Road this spring.

The concept is slated to open in April and will take over 2805 Manor Rd. Which was previously occupied by 8 Track and was tacitly closed in September.

East Austin’s newest pizzeria specializes in 13-inch round pies, “which combine the crispy New York-style pizza base with the well-developed neapolitan cornicione and char,” according to a press release. For those who prefer not to cut corners, the menu also features square pizzas, traditionally found in Sicilian cakes and Detroit-style pizzas.

The menu is rounded off by wings, salads and starters. A full bar menu includes draft craft beer, a “sophisticated” wine list and juicy slushies specially made for the restaurant’s huge 3,000-square-meter terrace.

Those who have visited 8 Track know that the terrace is only part of the huge space that extends to 7,000 square meters and offers a parking lot with more than 100 spaces.

Love Supreme is the brainchild of co-owners (and brothers) Ryan McElroy, who also owns the nearby Bird Bird Biscuit and Thunderbird Coffee, and Wade McElroy, who owns several LA restaurants.

At the helm of the kitchen is former Los Angeles-based chef Russell Victorioso, who most recently served as the head chef at that city’s Birdie Cafe. The front of the house is overseen by General Manager Paulina Cline, another LA veterinarian.
