Expansive ranches are practically as common in Texas as places serving fries and queso, brisket, or margaritas. However, it is uncommon to come across sizable residential property within the confines of a major city.
Now one of Austin’s largest housing developments is on the market – nearly 27 acres anchored by a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom Mediterranean-style home. The property is located at 9209 Scenic Bluff Dr., north of Barton Creek Habitat Reserve and close to Bee Caves Road and Creeks Edge Parkway.
Eric Copper of Austin Portfolio Real Estate has the listing the price of which is available upon request only. When the property hit the market in 2018, it was listed at $ 5.5 million.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Copper stated that he is not “bluffing when I say this is one of the most unique and exclusive properties you will come across in the Austin area.”
According to Copper, the Scenic Bluff property is well suited for a family lot or a retreat and is fed into the Eanes Independent School District. The land could also be divided into parcels for future development, he says, and has plenty of space for a helipad
Instead of focusing on the interior of the home, a marketing video for the remote property features bluebonnets, numerous trees, dirt roads, and expansive areas.
Public records show that Roy and Eva Strasburger own the nearly 27 hectare property. Roy Strasburger is the President and CEO of StrasGlobal, a Temple-based company that provides management and advisory services to convenience stores, quick service restaurants, car washes, oil change shops, and coffee and grocery stores. Eva Strasburger is the company’s strategy director.
