First, let’s start with the bad news. The East Side Show Room closes on East Sixth after seven years. The last night is Sunday July 24th. No reason for the closure was given on social media but we will reach out to the owners.

Now for the good news. Boiler Nine Bar + Grill, the long, long, and much-anticipated treat from La Corsha Hospitality, will finally open on Tuesday 5th July. The space offers three concepts: Boiler Nine Bar + Grill offers a wood menu by Chef Jason Stude The Deck Nine Observatory Bar has great views from the roof and the Boiler Room is underground for all of your peccadillos. All three concepts include cocktails from beverage and bartender Jason Stevens and a surprising wine list from wine director Paula Rester.

Then Kyōten Sushiko will be opened in Müller by chef Otto Phan on Wednesday, July 6th. The restaurant will go beyond its roots as a food truck and offer a multi-course omakase (reservation system opens July 3). According to the website, a casual lunch will be offered shortly.
