AUSTIN (KXAN) – It’s National Pizza Day, and in honor of the most popular cheesy comfort life, we asked KXAN viewers on social media which local restaurants serve the best cakes in Austin.

You can’t talk about pizza in Austin without mentioning Home Slice, which has been serving NY-style pizza since November 2005. According to its website, it was founded by three friends. The restaurant opened two more locations in 2010 and 2017.
With two locations in north and south Austin, Conan’s is known for its deep pan pizzas and ‘The Savage’ pizza, which can be found on its website, according to its website. The restaurant has been in the Austin area for decades since 1976.
With roots in New York, the restaurant’s founder decided to relocate south to Austin. The restaurant has three stationary locations and two food trucks.
Local Slice has two locations in the Austin area, including one in Cedar Park. The website said it has a passion for NY style thin crust pizza. In the restaurant’s Cedar Park, staff serve sweet treats, ice cream, and Boba tea drinks.
Pinthouse specializes in pizza and beer and was founded by six men, according to its website. You can buy pizza from three locations in the Austin area, including one in Round Rock.
This East Austin Food Truck is located in Arbor Food Park (1108 East 12th Street). According to the truck’s website, cakes are baked in an Italian wood-burning oven. They are open from Tuesday to Saturday.
