Austin’s favorite jewelry designer shines with virtual day of giving

Austin-based popular jewelry designer Kendra Scott is celebrating National Nonprofit Day on August 17th with more than 100 Kendra Gives Backing events, including three in the Austin area.

“Giving back is at the core of what we do at Kendra Scott, and it’s important that we celebrate National Day of Nonprofits with 108 Kendra Gives Back events to help local organizations in the communities where we have Kendra Scott businesses give back, ”says Scott.

Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, some Kendra Scott store fronts are temporarily closed or have limited capacity. To this end, the jewelry maven has focused on hosting virtual events. Those hosting a Kendra Gives Virtual Back Event will be given custom code to share with their community. 20 percent of all revenue from purchases made with the code directly supports the charity of your choice.

Starting Monday, August 17, Kendra Gives Back Codes will be redeemable in any of the ways that you can purchase Kendra Scott: online, through the brand’s roadside delivery program, and in select stores that have socially distanced shopping dates available .

In Austin, the in-store and virtual events include:

  • Virtual Giveback: Austin Sunshine Challenge, Shop Online Only, August 17th

  • Give back to the McCallum Blue Brigade, shop at the Lamar Central Store, or online August 17-18

  • Beautifully Loved Give Back, shop at the South Congress Flagship Store or online August 17-18

As fans know, Scott started their company in 2002 as a passion project in a guest room in their Austin home. Today it’s a global, multi-billion dollar fashion brand with a strong commitment to giving back.

Kendra Gives Back invites local charities and individuals to host shopping events in the store. 20 percent of the proceeds go to the philanthropic initiative of your choice. Through this program, Kendra Scott has hosted more than 30,000 events and to date has donated more than $ 30 million to various charities.
