Police hold a press conference to discuss murder cases that occurred on January 29th, February 2nd and February 3rd.

Austin Police held a press conference today to update three different murders that are currently under investigation.

Austin Police are investigating a suspicious death on the 2200 block of Willow Creek Drive on Wednesday, February 3.

Police responded to an emergency call at around 11:09 am about two men involved in a gun interference. When officers arrived, police said they had found a male victim in a vehicle with obvious signs of trauma. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses reported homicide detectors that a blue SUV carrying several people left the scene at the time of the murder. Police said these suspects were involved in at least two other robberies on the same day.

The official cause of death was a gunshot wound and the mode of death is murder.

Austin Police are investigating a suspicious death in East Austin as murder.

Police said Austin 911 received a gunshot call just before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, that was fired at an apartment complex on the 6100 block of Manor Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound.

ATCEMS arrived and began life-saving measures before the man was pronounced dead. Homicide detective believe this may have been a drug-related robbery.

The victim was identified as Raymond Carl Young.

Several people were seen running away from the car, according to APD, but no suspects are in custody until Saturday night.

Austin police reported that shortly after 9 p.m. on January 29, officers found a man shot dead in a vehicle near Mearns Meadow Boulevard. EMS tried life-saving measures but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

Witnesses told police they said they had an argument and fight in the car before hearing multiple shots. Several people were seen running away from the car, according to APD, but no suspects are in custody until Saturday night.

Witnesses also described a gray four-door sedan, possibly a Toyota or Inifinity, that left the scene immediately after the shooting, say APD and investigators believe it may have been a robbery.

The victim was identified as Jose Frankling Rodriguez.
