Dogs are transported to Boston after the Texas winter storm. Austin Pets Alive! Coordinated transport for pets at risk of euthanasia to protection partners across the country.

100 dogs and cats were loaded into four vans this morning and headed for Boston as part of an effort by Austin Pets Alive! to save pets at risk of euthanasia.

Transportation is one of many Austin Pets Alive! coordinated after the recent Texas winter storm that left shelters across the state without electricity, heat, or water to feed the thousands of pets that came to the shelters during the storm.

APA! says it reached out to shelters in Texas prior to the storm and is working with as many as willing to get Texan pets at risk of euthanasia out of the state and protect partners across the country.
