Tales on the Trail
All Month Long | from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. | Ringtail Ridge, 1818 Old Ranch Road 12, San Marcos
The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department, San Marcos Public Library, and Community Action, Inc. are partnering to bring you Tales on the Trails. Each month will feature a different story that you can follow along with as you explore our beautiful parks and natural areas.The January 2021 Tales on the Trails will be set up at Ringtail Ridge and will feature “Where the Wild Things Are” by Maurice Sendak. You and your family are invited to take a self-guided tour along the 1/2 mile Tex’s Trail at Ringtail Ridge, located at 1818 Ranch Road 12 (behind the Dakota Ranch Apartments).

Geocache Austin
All Month Long | Various Time and Locations

2021 Contactless Geocaching Challenge: Geocache Austin! This is a free event that you or your team will have two months to find as many contactless geocaches as possible and earn prizes along the way. The event will take place February 1 through March 31, 2021 and is a self-paced geocaching challenge in over 20 Austin parks with more than 50 geocaches to find! Each week the Mexic-Arte Museum hosts Free Family Sundays. They invite everyone to join and explore the museum and get a free tour at 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. Tours in Spanish are always available upon request.

Vista Brewing Presents: “Live Music Under the Oaks”

A socially-distanced, outdoor weekly concert series to help get through COVID-19 together with live music. Join outside in the beer garden every Sunday afternoon for “Live Music Under the Oaks!” Masks are required when not seated at your table or picnic area.
