Seven Texas colleges are at the top of the class when it comes to making money – including one in the Austin area. According to a recent report from College Factual, Southwestern University in Georgetown was named # 8 Best College For Your Money in the Southwest.
Also included are Austin College in Sherman, North Texas (No. 2), Texas Tech University (No. 3), St. Mary’s University in San Antonio (No. 5) and Texas Lutheran University in Seguin (No. 6 ) from Houston (No. 7) and Trinity University in San Antonio (No. 9).

In the Southwest region, St. John’s College in Santa Fe was ranked first, followed by Oklahoma City University (No. 4) and the University of Tulsa (No. 10).

Austin College, which ranked 2nd ahead of St. Mary’s, is a small private not-for-profit school that awarded 342 undergraduate degrees in 2018-2019, the report said.
