Police are investigating the suspicious death in East Austin
Police received multiple calls for shooting from neighbors in an apartment complex on the 6000 block of Manor Road. John Krinjak of FOX 7 Austin has the latest information on the investigation.
Austin, Texas – – Austin Police are investigating a suspicious death in East Austin. Police say he died not long after neighbors heard gunfire.
Investigators say shortly before 8 p.m. on February 2, police received multiple calls about shooting from neighbors in an apartment complex on the 6000 block of Manor Road.
Police arrived and found an unconscious man on the ground with apparent trauma, but police wouldn’t say for sure if the victim was shot. Paramedics came and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The victim is only described as a black man who is believed to be around 50 years old. He has not been officially identified and it is unclear whether he resided in the apartment complex.
It is unclear whether the suspect knew the victim. Police have no description of any suspect at this point and have not ruled out the possibility of more than one suspect.
