APD investigating shooting at Southwest Austin parking lot

The Austin Police are investigating a shooting in the parking lot of a recording studio in southwest Austin.

According to APD, the incident occurred shortly after midnight on December 2 in a parking lot at 500 E. St. Elmo Rd. A suspect was driving three passengers in a silver 2010-2016 BMW 5 Series when he came across a light-colored sedan in the parking lot , possibly a BMW, and fired several shots at the occupied vehicle.

Several of the bullets hit the Music Lab building, which, according to APD, was also occupied at the time.

Both vehicles immediately fled the scene and no injuries were reported. APD says they were called to the scene after staff found footage of the shooting.
