1 person killed, 1 injured after crash in Northwest Austin

A woman is dead and a man is hospitalized after an accident in northwest Austin. The crash occurred on January 13 at around 11:40 p.m. in the 3900 block on West Howard Lane.

Austin Police report that 28-year-old Jasmine Symon Campos was driving a gray Nissan Sentra west on Howard Lane in 2019 when she crashed into a white Mercury Grand Marquis heading east in 2003.

Campos was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Marquis driver was rushed to Round Rock Medical Center in St. David with serious injuries. Officials say the driver is currently in stable condition.
